Since news broke about the impending launch of Singapore Savings Bonds( with its higher interest rates), UOB has come out with a new UOB 1.35% Passbook Savings rate promotion.


UOB Passbook Savings Rates Promotion:

S$15,000 to S$50,000 =0.85%
Above S$50,000 to S$100,000 =1.05%
Above S$100,000 =1.25%
Get up to 1.35% p.a.* interest (total interest rate) on your UOB Passbook Savings and UOB Uniplus Accounts.

Illustration: 1.25% p.a. interest (Bonus Rate assuming Fresh Funds deposit of above S$100,000) + 0.1% p.a. interest (Prevailing Interest Rate assuming account balances above S$350,000).

Bonus Rates only apply to the Incremental Fresh Funds Balance in the Account during the Promotion Period from the date of deposit, until 30 April 2015.

A long 2015 post today on UOB Grow Your Savings Promotion where you get up to 1.35% interest on your Passbook Savings Account.

UOB Grow Your Savings Promotion (2 March to 30 April 2015) (“Promotion”)

Terms and Conditions of UOB Grow Your Savings Promotion:

1. Definitions

1.1 “Account” means a UOB Passbook Savings Account or a UOB Uniplus Account which is in valid,
subsisting and in good standing at all times during this Promotion as determined by the Bank at its
discretion.

1.2 “Account holder” means the holder of the Account.

1.3 “Account Balance” means the day-end balance in an Account.

1.4 “Bank” means United Overseas Bank Limited (“UOB”) or Far Eastern Bank Limited (“FEB”) as the
case may be, and includes any successors or assign of the Bank.

1.5 “Bonus Rate” refers to the interest rates set out in Clause 2.2 which is awarded to the Account holder in addition to the Prevailing Interest Rates during the Promotion Period for Fresh Funds placed in / deposited into an Account from the date of such Fresh Funds being deposited to the Promotion End date, subject to a minimum lump sum of S$15,000 in Fresh Funds as stipulated in Clause 2.2.

1.6 “Fresh Funds” refers to (i) funds in the form of non-UOB/FEB cheques; (ii) other funds that are not transferred from any existing UOB/FEB current/savings or fixed deposit account; or (iii) other funds that are not withdrawn from any existing UOB/FEB current/savings or fixed deposit account and redeposited (whether part or all of the amounts withdrawn) into the Account within the Promotion Period.

1.7 "Early Bird Gift” means the early bird gift as stipulated in Clause 3.1.

1.8 “Prevailing Interest Rates” means the interest rates stipulated in Clause 2.1.

1.9 “Promotion” means this UOB Grow Your Savings Promotion (2 March to 30 April 2015).“Promotion Period” means the period from 2 March to 30 April 2015, both dates inclusive.

1.10 “Participation Date” means the day on which the first minimum Fresh Funds deposit of S$15,000 is deposited into the Account during Promotion Period.

1.11 “Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions for this Promotion, as may be amended from time to time.

1.12 “Top-up Amount” means the incremental daily balances in an Account maintained during the Promotion Period compared against the Account Balance.
